This place is a hidden gem on Main street on the border of Alhambra and SGV. Place is ran by family and they make all the food fresh over here. I have tried their variety of dumplings and few other dishes including noodle soup and rectangular shaped dumplings . All the good is great and I would highly recommend this place. You cannot go wrong with anything over here. If you like dumplings, you must definitely try this place.

Small little mom and pop shop where you order to go and you can eat it on the few tables they have. There's no waiters. Parking is available in the plaza shared with other establishments. The only thing I liked from here was the pork and leek pancake. Perfectly crisp and delicious. Everyone here was raving about their spicy wontons but honestly it was good but nothing to rave about. The pork and crab xlb was okay, their skin is a bit too thick for my liking. I still like DTF xlb and spicy wontons more. Forget the noodles, I don't recommend it at all. It's bland and flavorless.

When the craving for northern Chinese doughy food hits, I come here. Their Hui Tou Xiangs are the best in the 626. Every single dish is great - some favorites include their leek pies, their pork hui tou's, and their beef dumplings.

Watch out LaoGanMa! Time to Move Over--Hui Tou Xiang's OG Chili Oil is Good! I was a bit skeptical about this place when I walked in, but I guess it's all in the food--I mean, I kept laser focused on their pictures from their website. Thinking, it's gotta be good. When they advertise as being fresh...it's legit fresh! I ordered the Hui Tou stuffed pork, Pork and Leek Pancakes, and the Pork steam bun. Yes, I love pork. It tasted clean and tasty with no heaviness in the stomach. I was not expecting to eat a lot but the banger of a surprise was the OG Chili oil. Yeah, it's oily, but I ate plenty of it and I was still good with the food that I ate more than expected. The positive--no food coma! I also enjoyed the dough that wrapped these little tenderized meaty guys as they were not processed or from some Costco package that has tons of ingredients. You could totally taste the difference from fake processed Mickey D's style of food to home made. The service is not there so don't expect much. I was hoping to dine in, but that wasn't the vibe as they focused on take-out only. The two beauties that worked there were strictly business so I couldn't learn their ancient secret Hui Tou recipes. I really wanted to try their soup noodles but as long as they only offer take out, I will pass. I prefer to eat soup from a bowl not from some plastic container. I will be waiting Hui Tou Xiang?! I love the name: "OG Chili Oil." Hahaha! Just don't piss off LaoGanMa! I almost got in trouble at home for talking so good about the OG Chili so watch out peeps! I just prefer clean homemade food at all times if I can get it. As I left, I did look back over my should-- and thought--gotta come back!
